Visions Performing Arts Company (V.P.A.C.) provides instruction, programs, productions, coaching, and services in all performing arts.  Theater, dance, spoken word, public speaking, singing, writing, and stage presence are all forms that Visions will remain dedicated to.  V.P.A.C. will serve as a mentorship program and an alternative to negative influences to the youth as well as an outlet for adults to begin or continue training.

What is unique about Visions is the dedication to original works of African American artist.  Our entire season will be presenting original works from African American writers and playwrights around the country.  We will begin to do one mainstream production in the future, however our goal is to highlight upcoming artist with the vision that the world needs and preserve the tradition of African American theater.  

Our History

I-ZON Dance had been a successful dance organization in the community for the 6 years.  His and Hers Productions had served as a theater company dedicated to Black theater for 3 years.  Both companies were headed by Ladi Crenshaw.  Under the close mentorship of Jeffrey Nickelson for the past 3 years, Mr. Nickelson suggested to start a new company that would meet the needs of both companies and begin projects that both Mr. Nickelson and Ladi wanted to achieve.  Ladi had been working on Jeffrey's life story to be presented for over two years and as any biographer and their subject, the two became extremely close.  Up until the day of his untimely death, the two of them were well on their way to detailed planning of productions, tours and events and were confident they would reach these goals.  In the spirit of Jeffrey Nickelson, Ladi decided to move forward with their efforts and formed Visions Performing Arts Company in honor of one of the best visionaries Colorado and the country has even known.  Knowing, learning and witnessing his dedication to his vision has encouraged Ladi to continue what the two of them started together.  I-ZON will now become a program under the umbrella of Visions Performing Arts Company.  The entire company is a manifestation of a beautiful teacher with a willing student.  V.P.A.C. is dedicated to the memory of the great, Jeffrey W. Nickelson.
